ISDenver’s 9th‑grade IndiSocs students took a multilingual, global approach to examining whether US expansion after the Civil War was truly sustainable. Through research, storytelling, and a cross‑language gallery walk, they uncovered powerful insights about who benefited, who was harmed, and how history’s ripple effects shape our world today.

ISDenver’s French program—our school’s original cornerstone—received exceptional praise during its recent accreditation visit from the French Ministry of Education. The inspector’s glowing feedback affirmed the program’s rigor, vibrancy, and the deep commitment of our entire community as we approach our 50th anniversary.

The ISDenver Dragon Choir took the stage at the Denver Christkindlmarket at the Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus, on Friday, December 5th. Students performed “Getting to Know You,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” and “Together We Can Change the World,” as well as showcasing their handbell skills with “Jingle Bells” on this beloved Denver holiday tradition.

ISDenver Athletics Director Coach Nicholas McFarlane champions a joyful, growth-centered approach to youth sports, emphasizing character, resilience, and lifelong passion over wins and losses. Rooted in the school’s mission and IB learner profile, the program treats athletics as a powerful classroom where students practice leadership, teamwork, and balance. Looking ahead, McFarlane envisions a seamless K1–Grade 12 Athletics pathway supported by a strong community and opportunities for every student to thrive at their own pace.
