If you’ve driven by the International School of Denver lately, you’ve likely spotted something new on campus. In the parking lot lining East 4th Avenue, a construction trailer is now taking up residence. And, truth be told, it is this trailer that helps me get out of bed each morning. But….more on that later.

Our beautiful campus, which is nestled among former airplane hangers and general’s quarters in the historic Lowry neighborhood - the original site of the US Air Force Academy - welcomes over 700 students to its campus each year, grades pre-K to 8th grade. The bustling Boulevard One development, coupled with other new retail, fitness studios, coffee shops, and eateries make Lowry a place where new meets old - and the campus of ISDenver is no different.

International School of Denver, now in our 42nd year, has physically outgrown its existing infrastructure. We knew it would happen. In fact, the visionaries behind the Campus Master Plan envisioned the day when our campus would need to be reshaped to accommodate our changing and growing community. That day is today.

This Fall, we will officially break ground on a new academic building. This space will create a thriving academic and extracurricular hub for our entire community, including the main home to the Middle School, now scattered across several buildings. Every aspect of the design is purposeful, designed by our faculty, uniquely for our learners.

In my role in Admissions and as a future Mom to an ISDenver Dragon, I am so excited. The construction trailer is a physical reminder of the hope we have in a shared future. And, don’t we all need something, especially now, to be hopeful for? For me, this construction trailer and soon broken ground for a new building represents a lasting legacy of children who are problem solvers, do-gooders, and change markers in our world. And, the hope of that is enough to get me up and out of bed each day.

I would love to help answer your questions about our Middle School or the Admissions process. Please email me anytime to connect.
