We both respect and appreciate that many families seek to donate the most flexible support possible, which is ultimately a contribution that can be used at the discretion of the school leadership. Additionally, our school works with families each year to support approved, one-off opportunities that fall outside of the stated philanthropic priorities. If either of this scenarios resonate with you, then this is the fund for you!

Given our faculty members' incredible talent and passion as educators, it is not a surprise that families continually ask, "How can we do more for our teachers?" This fund provides the opportunity to support our faculty above and beyond the operational program and classroom budgets.

Resources designated to this fund may be used for opportunities that help ISDenver attract and retain the very best faculty, such as:

• Providing support for faculty who are building professional skills through graduate-level courses
• Funding school-driven professional development (additional to the professional development each teacher identifies for themselves), such as multi-year project-based learned trainings.
• Ensuring all K1-G8 teachers have laptops, so they can work and teach anywhere on campus.
• Establishing a relocation package to benefit all new, full-time, benefits-eligible faculty and staff.

ISDenver is committed to both inclusivity and diversity, as stated in our mission and values. Financial Assistance -- the tuition reduction offered to families with demonstrated financial need -- is one of the many ways that we uphold our guiding beliefs and support socio-economic diversity among our community.

While we are proud of the more than $500,000 that we are able to budget for operationally, the reality is that we would ideally like to offer twice this amount each year. Each year, we unfortunately lose families who want to become or continue as members of our community, simply because they cannot afford the cost.

Investments in this fund will be used to increase both the number of families who benefit from financial assistance and the amount of need that we can meet with each offer.

Donations received to this fund prior to December 31^st will become a resource for the following school years' financial assistance offers.

We have come a long way since founding our competitive middle school Athletics programs circa 2016. The results, both on and off the field, speak for themselves. Thanks to our enthusiastic athletes, our tenacious coaches, and now supportive donors, our programs have grown into successful and fun environments for our learners to develop sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.

With the launch of our new Athletics fund in 2022, we look forward to building upon our past successes, allowing us to fund:

• New uniforms on a rolling basis

• Improved and updated indoor and outdoor facilities

• New athletic training and game-day equipment

• Regular maintenance of our ‘big pieces’, such as our gymnasium and soccer field

Athletics are a global language that belong squarely in ISDenver’s philosophy of cultivating global citizenship in all of our learners. Whether you say Game, Juego, Yóuxì, or Jeu, we are all cheering on the same team.

Giving Tuesday was created around a simple idea – a day to celebrate and encourage people to do good – and has grown into a global initiative that inspires millions of people to ‘give gratefully’ by donating and celebrating generosity.

This year we hope to inspire 300 families and friends to make a gift to our school on Giving Tuesday, of any amount that is meaningful to you.

The Staff Appreciation Fund (SAF) helps ease the stress of the gift-giving season by offering a simple solution to show your appreciation for our wonderful ISDenver teachers and staff.

Your contribution to the SAF provides an opportunity to share the holiday love with every member of the ISDenver staff. All gifts to this time-limited fund are pooled and distributed across all staff members -- from teachers and administrators to lunch assistants and maintenance staff.

Philanthropic support strengthens our programs and enriches the student experience.

Community Giving provides the umbrella for all philanthropic contributions to ISDenver, be it through the fall kickoff, #GivingTuesday, Gala, or anytime in between.

At ISDenver, we take a conservative approach to budgeting to ensure our basic operating expenses are covered by tuition. Instead of fundraising to cover a gap between revenue and expenses, ISDenver fundraises for growth. In addition to generating near-term impact, every gift is tax deductible and many gifts qualify for the Colorado Childcare Contribution Tax Credit.

In recent years, private gifts have helped us to capitalize on Classrooms Without Walls opportunities, elevate our athletics programming, upgrade our performing arts space, expand academic technology, augment significantly our STEAM program, increase our campus signage and security, and build a new K3 / 1st grade playground.
