Bryan Wabo honored as next Head of School Award Winner

Bryan Wabo honored as next Head of School Award Winner

At the close of each academic year, Middle School faculty nominate a rising eighth grader for the Head of School Award. The Head of School Award is recognition for being a student who embodies academic excellence, global mindedness, and our community principles of respecting self, treating others with dignity, being principled and open-minded, and positively contributing to our community.

Bryan Wabo was named the Head of School Award recipient for the 2024-25 school year.

“Integrity 100%, trustworthiness. Just fine character overall.  He is not one to be gregarious and take over a room. He leads quietly, more by example,” Middle School Director, Rob Kapner, offered when asked to share his thoughts on this year’s nominee. “Bryan is the type of kid to clean up a mess that needs to be addressed in the Art Studio for the good of the group. Or if someone gets hit with a ball on the playground, he would be concerned that they are okay. These are the kinds of things he does. Always a gentleman. Polite. Respectful. And with concern for others.”

Incoming Middle School Director, Katie Williams, agrees and adds, “Bryan has a warm friendly smile, he constantly turns in high-quality work, has a great sense of humor, and is kind to his peers.”

Bryan will lead his class in the ringing of the bell and address the student body at the Cérémonie d'Ouverture on the first day of school to kick off the 2024-25 academic year. Congratulations to Bryan on receiving this honor!
