ISDenver Announces Katie Williams as High School Director
The International School of Denver is thrilled to announce that Katie Williams will be transitioning into the role of High School Director, guiding our inaugural high school class in the 2025-26 school year. As a dedicated leader and passionate educator, Katie has been instrumental in shaping our school’s expansion, and we couldn’t be more excited for her to bring her expertise, vision, and deep commitment to student success to this new chapter.
Katie originally joined ISDenver in Fall 2023 as a seasoned K12 international educator, bringing a wealth of experience in high school leadership and curriculum development. Notably, she played a key role in expanding a K-8 IB school to include high school and the IB Diploma Programme (DP), which has now attained candidacy for the IB DP, an invaluable experience that has helped shape ISDenver’s strategic vision for growth.*
Having served as Middle School Director, Katie has built strong relationships with both students and faculty. As she moves into her role as High School Director, she will continue fostering connections with students as they advance in their educational journey, ensuring a seamless transition into high school.
Katie brings an impressive background to her leadership role. With 17 years of teaching experience—including 11 years spent in overseas schools—she is deeply familiar with the benefits of international education. She has extensive training in the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, having worked as an IB Career-related Program Coordinator, Service Learning and CAS Coordinator, and Global Conference Presenter. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom, as she has served on instructional leadership teams, mentored new teachers, coached a variety of activities, and been recognized with an Outstanding Educator Award.
As an ISDenver mom, teacher, and service-learning enthusiast, Katie is deeply invested in our community. Her experience and passion make her the ideal leader to launch our high school and set a strong foundation for its future growth. We are excited to embark on this journey with her and look forward to the impact she will continue to make on ISDenver students.
