ISDenver Faculty & Staff Log 71K Minutes in Fitness Challenge!
Forty-eight ISDenver faculty and staff members just completed a six-week fitness challenge that ran from October 2 through November 12. Over 71,000 total minutes of activity were logged as part of the challenge issued by the Health & Wellness Team. With the beautiful Rocky Mountains in our backyard, it is no surprise the top activities logged were outdoor:
- Walking
- Cycling
- Hiking
Congratulations to Josu Pradales, Violet Gao, and Rob Kapner for ranking in the top three.
First of all, congrats to all participants! Since I retired as a pro-rower I really enjoy practicing different sports as cycling, trail running, climbing, hiking...it is the best way for me to destress after a long school day.
Josu Pradales
My poems and dreams are faraway. Only being active can allow me to chase my dreams.
Violet Gao
There is nothing better than the great outdoors when it comes to physical and mental wellness.
Rob Kapner
The Health & Wellness Team is thrilled with the outcome of the challenge, part of an all-school focus on wellness. They are already looking forward to the next challenge and hoping to increase participation.
