ISDENVER TO PURCHASE BISHOP MACHEBEUF PROPERTY;
FOUNDING CLASS OF 9TH GRADERS TO MATRICULATE IN AUGUST 2025
DENVER, Colorado, December 2024: The International School of Denver (ISDenver) is under contract to purchase the Bishop Machebeuf High School property. Currently a PreK-8 International Baccalaureate World School, ISDenver is poised to welcome the founding class of Grade 9 students in the fall of 2025.
Rolling up one grade at a time, ISDenver will be opening an IB high school with a strong curriculum by continuing the Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum framework through Grade 10 and, once authorized, adding the prestigious IB Diploma Programme and the option for the Bilingual Diploma in Grades 11-12. ISDenver High School will welcome students with all language abilities.
Head of School, Bob Carignan, shared, “While we considered several properties, the Bishop Machebeuf High School property is a perfect fit for us. We are already neighbors in Lowry, located just one-half mile from one another. The property is a great academic space, so truly plug and play for us, from the safety-equipped science labs to the outstanding athletic facilities. We are grateful to step in as the next stewards of the Bishop Machebeuf property.” The school plans to work with the Archdiocese to honor Bishop Machebeuf’s legacy at the campus.
Applications for the founding 9th grade class will open in January.
