Student art now on display at Logan House Coffee
ISDenver student artwork is now on display at Logan House Coffee as part of their Artist Showcase program. The Stanley Marketplace Cafe location, located at 2501 Dallas St #112, Aurora, CO 80010, is housing a collection of 13 pieces, part of a larger collection called Digital Double Exposure.
Third and fifth-grade students worked on double-exposure photography. Students were asked to consider something about themselves and find a visual representation. They then used iPads to photograph themselves, layered the photos, and edited the details. The result was a compelling self-portrait.
The double exposure project is an engaging, creative way to get to know students while utilizing digital skills. This project is an example of how we encourage students to be creators rather than just consumers of content.
The out is always surprising as each student conveys their message uniquely. The images range from favorite animals and sports, to politics and social issues.
