Support Us Today

ISDenver is proud to be able to operate in the black, meaning that tuition covers the basic operating budget. While many independent schools fundraise for an operational gap, we budget conservatively and then position our Community Giving program to achieve so much more. All donations to Community Giving, which can be designated across the three funds detailed below, allow ISDenver to Say Yes!  to mission- and vision- driven opportunities that help us fulfill our strategic plan.

Funds from community giving emphasize who we are -- a nurturing, caring community of learners, educators, and families -- and what we are: a preeminent international school where the passion is real. ISDenver teachers

Given our faculty members' incredible talent and passion as educators, it is not a surprise that families continually ask, "How can we do more for our teachers?" We are pleased to launch this fund that provides the opportunity to support our faculty above and beyond the operational program and classroom budgets.

Resources designated to this fund may be used for opportunities that help ISDenver attract and retain the very best faculty, such as:

  • Providing support for faculty who are building professional skills through graduate-level courses
  • Funding school-driven professional development (additional to the professional development each teacher identifies for themselves), such as multi-year project-based learned trainings.
  • Ensuring all K1-G8 teachers have laptops, so they can work and teach anywhere on campus.
  • Establishing a relocation package to benefit all new, full-time, benefits-eligible faculty and staff.
What I liked the most about my project-based learning (PBL) training was sharing my own learning process with my colleagues within the Spanish program, and exchanging best practices we apply in our classes with the students. Thanks to the training, I am now able to implement real changes and improvements to my PBL units, which will allow my students to learn more effectively.

ISDenver is committed to both inclusivity and diversity, as stated in our mission and values. Financial Assistance -- the tuition reduction offered to families with demonstrated financial need -- is one of the many ways that we uphold our guiding beliefs and support socio-economic diversity among our community.

While we are proud of the more than $500,000 that we are able to budget for operationally, the reality is that we would ideally like to offer twice this amount each year. Each year, we unfortunately lose families who want to become or continue as members of our community, simply because they cannot afford the cost.

Investments in this fund will be used to increase both the number of families who benefit from financial assistance and the amount of need that we can meet with each offer.

Donations received to this fund prior to December 31st will become a resource for the following school years' financial assistance offers.

We both respect and appreciate that many families seek to donate the most flexible support possible, which is ultimately a contribution that can be used at the discretion of the school leadership. Additionally, our school works with families each year to support approved, one-off opportunities that fall outside of the stated philanthropic priorities. If either of this scenarios resonate with you, then this is the fund for you!



In the Fall of 2017, our faculty members asked themselves what would most inspire them to participate in our Community Giving efforts. A few faculty started talking over lunch, and just a few weeks later, formally launched the Scholarship by Staff. With the dual goals of maximizing participation and raising a full year's tuition to bring one new, extreme need learner to campus for the 2018-19 year, nearly 85% of full-time faculty and staff have raised over $13,000 to fund the Scholarship by Staff.

This effort is a special campaign solely among faculty and staff -- something that each member can feel really good about, and see the direct impact of giving back to ISDenver. While this is not an official 'fund' like the above three priorities, we are proud of our efforts and generosity, and hope to inspire our broader community to join us in contributing to the school.

All philanthropic contributions received throughout the year, with the exception of capital campaign pledge payments, will be recorded as a part of Community Giving. Contributions may be made online, via check, or in person throughout the year, including Giving Tuesday (12.3.19) and at the Gala (3.14.20).
