Financial assistance; facilities upgrades like the Dragon’s Den, converting Peacekeeper to a STEAM building, new playgrounds, equipment, and outdoor bottle filling stations; professional development and investing in faculty so that we treat them like family - you name it and Community Giving has probably helped make it happen. We cannot say it plainly enough: parent donations make projects happen. Without your support, we cannot:

• Meet record demands for financial assistance - lifeblood that keeps our community together;
• Offer the best possible professional development to our teachers;
• Provide annual swag, daily lunch, and weekly treats (like the popular happy hour-in-a-box!) to our faculty;
• Say Yes! to one-off projects like installing outdoor water bottle fillers.

Gifts from our generous donors are what allow ISDenver to continue to provide much of what our school community routinely expects as part of our school experience year in and year out. We ask that ISDenver continues to be a top philanthropic priority for our parent community - every year.

Do you know that gifts of up to $250 annually average over $14,000 alone? It’s about the power of our community rallying together, all for the benefit of our families and faculty. 

• Our goal is for all families to support the school in a way that is meaningful for them, and the best way to do that is to invite each family to directly support us. Unfortunately, conducting business promotions (indirect support such as kickbacks to the school from certain businesses you dine at, employ, utilize, etc.) does little to build that community spirit, and also puts the school in a position of managing promotional programs.
   
• However, we are proud to promote partnerships with those businesses who support a select few of our programs and events, including our annual Gala. 

• Accessibility is incredibly important to us, and we strive to keep tuition as reasonable as possible, all while operating in the black. Because there are certain expenses that the school must anticipate year over year (think teacher salaries, utilities, etc) there will always be a need to reassess our tuition to continue to provide an exceptional learning environment for our learners. 
   
• Particularly for those families who feel as strongly as we do about maintaining a diverse and accessible community, we invite you to support the Financial Assistance (FA) Fund. Our school leadership continually strives to allocate more operating budget to FA, year over year. Using FA Fund donations enables us to offer an additional ~$100K in assistance each year.

• ISDenver’s Faculty Investment Fund is one of our core three funds under the Community Giving umbrella, established specifically for donors looking to ensure their gifts directly benefit our teachers. In the past the Faculty Investment Fund has provided funding for faculty events, professional development, relocation and repatriotization packages, and many other incidentals that equip our teachers to thrive in the classroom and strengthen their professional acumen.

• Yes! And not only are they tax deductible, but all Community Giving gifts (with the exception of gifts below a minimum during the Gala and gifts given to the Staff Appreciation Fund) qualify for the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit, which could put 50% of your gift right back in your pocket. Say Yes! cuts to the heart of what Community Giving at ISDenver is all about. While tuition covers things like salaries, classroom supplies, and utilities, Community Giving funds growth. When you donate to ISDenver through Community Giving you are allowing us to Say Yes! to things that would otherwise be unattainable, such as improvements to athletics, strengthening our technology capabilities, building upgrades, faculty benefits, and more.

• The quick answer: You’ll hear a lot more about Community Giving during our Giving Tuesday (fall) and / or Gala (spring) drives.
• The longer answer: when the time is right for you - we appreciate your family’s finances don’t run on a school calendar!  
• ISDenver accepts gifts all year around via check, cash, credit card, wire, stock transfer, and even in-kind donations (i.e. ‘stuff’). 

• Absolutely! Simply click on one of our donation forms (buttons at top of page) → click ‘Recurring Donation’ at the top  of the form→  choose a monthly amount that is meaningful to you.
   
• Don’t see a schedule that works for you? Scroll to the bottom to customize your recurring gift.
   
• Increasing numbers of our families are electing to simply set up a recurring payment - allowing many to increase their impact by breaking a donation into smaller monthly installments and allowing the school to budget for projects with confidence.

• We are pleased to recognize those families contributing $2,500 or more annually to Community Giving funds as members of the International Scholars Society. Scholars Society looks a bit different in a time of a pandemic, but is no less important, providing maximum investments in the ISDenver Experience.
